Carol has always had a passion for animals. She obtained her BSc from the University of Guelph in 1974 and completed her DVM at the Ontario Veterinary College in 1978. Her residency was spent in the radiology. Carol’s knowledge and excellence in taking optimum hips and elbow digital radiographs for breeders is well known, drawing clients from the GTA and as far as the US.
Dr. Rasa Levstein decided to become a veterinarian at the age of five. Born in Lithuania, she graduated from the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy in 1994. During her student years she was breeding and showing Bloodhounds, and was the head of the Hound Group of Lithuanian Kennel Club.
Dr. Emily Seager graduated from OVC in 2005, and has been practicing at Graham Animal Hospital ever since. She does not have a specialty, but has become known as the cat lady, although hopefully not crazy. While she finds puppies as equally fun as cats, there are no snakes allowed in the clinic.
Dr. Victor Sprenger came to Graham Animal Hospital in 2010 after graduating. He enjoys general medicine and surgery, with an interest in orthopedics and dental surgery. Graduation from vet school was a culmination of 13 years of post-secondary education, including a Masters in Engineering (biomechanical engineering computer models of horse legs) before doing his DVM degree at OVC.
Dr. Dawn Hughes-Bissonnette hails from beautiful Prince Edward Island. Horses were always a fascination from day one as well as figure skating from the age of 7 to 17. After a year of agricultural college in Nova Scotia, Dr. Dawn applied to Ontario Veterinary College, in Guelph, Ontario. She graduated in 1986 and went to work at a busy clinic in Sarnia, Ontario.
Dr. Denise Lukacs received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph in 2010. She completed her Master’s degree in Animal Behavior and Welfare, with a research interest in the behavior and thermoregulation of elephants and giraffes. Dr. Denise completed her veterinary degree at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2016.
Lori graduated from University of Guelph – Ridgetown College Campus Veterinary Technician program in 2002. Initially she worked in emergency medicine in Toronto for three years and joined the Graham Animal Hospital Team in 2005. When Graham Animal Hospital expended their reproduction services in 2011, Lori became the lead Reproduction Technician. She is also in charge of our large semen bank and oversees all the shipments going worldwide.
Jessica is a graduate of the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair College in Windsor. Jessica graduated and joined our team in May 2010. She lives with her husband Kalan, son Nathan, and Hockley her four year-old Irish Wolfhound. Jessica is pleased to offer her technical skills to help improve the health and wellbeing of our four legged friends. Her interests are camping, hiking and spending the summer outside with her friends and family.
Kristy graduated from University of Guelph - Ridgetown Campus in 2013 with a diploma in Veterinary Technology and became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Kristy is working towards her degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph while working at the clinic. Her special interests include behavior, dentistry, genetics, nutrition, and reproduction.
Megan Wanless graduated from Northern College in May of 2012 and became an RVT within the same year. Ever since a young age Megan has very strong passions for working with animals. Megan grew up on a dairy farm in Brampton where she spent all her free time helping her Dad and Grandpa with the cows.
Alicia graduated from a social service worker program in Hamilton and worked in the field of social services for 10 years. She moved to Guelph five years ago with her husband and began volunteering at an animal shelter where she was later hired.
Animal Care Support
She joined Graham Animal Hospital in 2015 as a client services representative. Soon everyone noticed her natural ability and interest in working with animals and in a short time became our Animal Care Attendant. Her long term goal is to become a veterinary technician or maybe a veterinarian.
Tashelle has been in the veterinary field for 16 years. She has experience as an animal attendant, receptionist, technician and manager.
Client Care Representatives
Kim has been a client care representative at Graham Animal Hospital since 2008. Her first love was children so she graduated from the Early Childhood Program at Sheridan College in Oakville. She worked in the childcare field for many years and when she was re-entering the work force after doing home childcare for years she decided to pursue something different.
Maddie has been working at Graham Animal Hospital since 2012, as an animal care attendant. Maddie will be attending the University of Guelph next year, for her Bachelor of Science degree, in the Animal Biology program. She lives on a farm and loves goats. When Maddie is not studying or working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, and she also plays rep soccer for Albion FC.
Jenn joined Graham Animal Hospital in September of 2016. A native Texan, Jenn moved to Canada with her husband in 1999. Having several years’ of veterinary experience as well as working in the business industry, our clinic is the perfect environment for such an animal lover.
Neekoo started working at Graham Animal Hospital in October of 2016. She came to us from an Animal Hospital in Waterloo after completing the Veterinary Assistant program at Northern College. She is married to her High school sweetheart and they share their house with their three large dogs.
