Dr. Michelle Caissie

Dr. Michelle Caissie is from the East Coast. She grew up in New Brunswick, but did her undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science) at Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. She then went to veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. After graduating from the AVC, Dr. Michelle moved to Ontario for a large animal rotating internship at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph.  During this time, her passion for reproduction (theriogenology) flourished and she continued on as a resident in Theriogenology. Her residency consisted of working with mostly horses and dogs in the clinic setting as well as completing a thesis on equine endometritis and teaching veterinary students. She successfully completed her theriogenology board certification examination, as well as completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Science in 2019.

Dr. Michelle currently lives with her fiancé, her dogs Cooper and Levi, and her cat Oreo. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, running, horseback riding and most recently, golfing. Dr. Michelle is a member of the Saint John Ambulance Therapy dog program with Cooper and visits a long-term care facility. She also enjoys traveling, especially to visit her family in New Brunswick as often as possible, especially in the summer!
