Dr. Wynne Collins
Wynne Collins grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and has been travelling ever since! She attended veterinary school at University College Dublin in Ireland and completed her degree in 1998. She then went to follow her passion in equine reproduction by practicing in Ireland and Australia. In 2002, she started a residency in Theriogenology at the University of California, Davis and became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists in 2005. She then worked and completed a PhD at the University of Maryland studying reproduction in the Przewalski’s Horse at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.
Dr Collins then went to Australia for 5 years to work as a Senior Lecturer in Theriogenology at the University of Queensland where she helped develop the clinical theriogenology service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Being far from home and family brought Dr Collins back to the states where she has spent the past 4 years working in small animal theriogenology in Indianapolis. She has brought her husband and two young daughters to settle in Canada, and is excited to be working with all the great staff at Graham Animal Hospital.
Dr Collins interests are in reproduction of just about any animal species, traditional chinese medicine, and internal medicine. In her free time, she likes to explore new trails with her family, bake, and learn American Sign language.
