VICTOR SPRENGER

DVM, MSc, BSc

Dr. Victor Sprenger came to Graham Animal Hospital in 2010 after graduating. He enjoys general medicine and surgery, with an interest in orthopedics and dental surgery. Graduation from vet school was a culmination of 13 years of post-secondary education, including a Masters in Engineering (biomechanical engineering computer models of horse legs) before doing his DVM degree at OVC.

Victor lives in the country with his wife, three kids, a golden retriever with long eyelashes named Cookie and a cat named Kitty.

His interests are many. In the past, he was a competitive greco-roman wrestler, missing the 2008 Olympics by one placing at the Pan American Championships. Now, he enjoys playing with his kids outside in the woods, ‘homesteading’ (vegetable gardening, making maple syrup, taking care of the chickens and such), camping and canoeing with his family and mountain-biking when he gets the chance. His dream is to have a network of urban community gardens which allow people access to healthy food who might not have the ability to do so otherwise. In addition, he has an interest in veterinary care in developing nations and creating food stability.
