Katie Nixon
DVM
Dr. Katie Nixon graduated with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2025. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from Western University.
Katie has a passion for providing compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care. Her clinical interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and wellness examinations, with a focus on helping animals live healthier, more comfortable, and longer lives.
Her love for animals began at an early age, with a particular interest in animal welfare and rescue. Today, Katie shares her home with her husband and their four rescue animals, who keep life entertaining with their antics.
Outside the clinic, Katie enjoys discovering new walking trails with her dogs, spending time at family cottages in Muskoka and Temagami, travelling, and a good TV show binge.
