Raised in Ottawa, Jess grew up with a family dog and a business of ferrets. Her love for her pets led her to becoming a board member for the Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa for 8 years, specializing in fostering their medically challenging cases.
In 2015, Jess moved to Guelph and accepted a position as kennel manager for a show Yorkshire Terrier breeder. When it was time to move on, she knew she needed to stay in the animal care sector, which led her to GAH.
Jess and her husband have two cats, LunchBox and Gregory. In their spare time, they enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking and rock climbing, and bring the cats with them wherever they can.
